Central Statistical Office (CSO)

The CSO, set up in 1948, is the official organization responsible for the collection, compilation, analysis, and dissemination of all official statistical data relating to all aspects of the economic and social activities of the country.

National Computer Board (NCB)

Established by NCB Act 43 of 1988. It is an apex institution created as a parastatal body by the Government of Mauritius, and is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology. Their vision is to promote the accelerated diffusion of information technology in every socio-economic sphere of Mauritius and steer the country towards the information age. This is a very informative site.

Ministry Of Finance and Economic Development (MFED)

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development as the principal instrument policy is responsible for the financial soundness of the government's economic policy and for the proper control of revenue and expenditure.

Mauritius Offshore Business Activities Authority (MOBAA)

MOBAA, a corporate body set up in 1992 under the Mauritius Offshore Business Activities (MOBA) Act 1992, and entrusted with the task of licensing, supervising, and developing non-banking offshore business in Mauritius.

Mauritius Export Development and Investment Authority (MEDIA)

MEDIA provides dedicated support to potential investors, helps buyers who wish to source from Mauritius, and identifies market outlets for products manufactured locally. It also constructs and manages industrial estates.

Export Processing Zones Development Authority (EPZDA)

EPZDA acts as a facilitator and catalyst in forging the competitive edge of all export oriented activities.

Small and Medium Industries Development Organisation (SMIDO)

SMIDO is a para-statal body that aims at fostering growth and development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in Mauritius.
