Expeditors exp.o® Booking

Overview

exp.o® Booking is an innovative web-based tool developed by Expeditors enabling you or your vendors to book electronically with any Expeditors office. There are 2 levels of exp.o® Booking available - Order Management Booking and Shipment Booking. Shipment Booking is for everyone and allows you to receive notifications, arrange pickups, track shipments, and generate documents directly via the internet. Order Management Booking is available with the Order Management service. In addition to the above capabilities, it allows vendors or third-parties to book directly against a copy of your order and helps to manage multiple integrated business rules and configurations to identify exceptions.

exp.o® Shipment Booking Features

  • Designed to enhance productivity with its custom templates making it easy to process repetitive shipments quickly and accurately
  • Enables you to quickly book and schedule shipments electronically with Expeditors without having to pick up the phone.
  • Notifications will be sent to you and your customer through email. This will tell you that the request for booking was received by Expeditors staff and system will provide a tracking number to follow the shipment every step of the way.
  • Consistent export documentation can be generated based on the booking information or uploaded from your PC and forwarded along with your booking data to any Expeditors office around the world.

exp.o® Order Management Booking Features

  • All the standard features of Shipment Booking
  • Your third party suppliers can be prompted electronically to make timely bookings based on required dates in your order.
  • Third Parties book directly against the Order data received by Expeditors Order Management, giving you the visibility to the order and item level of what your third party plans to ship. Through this advance upstream visibility, exceptions can be acted on before they become problems downstream.
  • Customized Business Rules are built into the booking process to prevent third parties from booking incorrectly and to identify exceptions in the booking process for your approval in advance.
  • Documents can be generated directly from your order data combined with third party booking data. When combined with Expeditors Customs Brokerage and Importer Security Filing (ISF) services, this can allow one set of data to be use multiple times for all compliance and transportation-related activities. When Expeditors Ocean Service (EIO) is combined then carrier events and AMS filing are also integrated into one smooth data flow.
  • Exceptions and communications are tracked and stored for later use in Supplier Performance Metrics - the Supplier, Customer, and Expeditors are all connected on one web platform
