Mexico Trade and Customs Webinar

March 12

12:00pm-11:00pm (UTC+09:00)

Seminar

Japanese

In 2005, Japan and Mexico signed the Agreement between Japan and the United Mexican States for the Strengthening of the Economic Partnership. In 2018, two countries further deepened the partnership by signing Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the United Mexican States Regarding Mutual Assistance and Cooperation in Customs Matters. Propelled by these agreements, Japanese investments have been increasing with a record high 150 million U.S. dollars in 2021. Today, there are ~1,272 Japanese companies in Mexico. In 2022, the exports to Mexico reached 1,441 billion yen (~$10B) and imports from Mexico exceeded 843 billion yen (~$6B). Driven by geo-politic reasons and the advantages of IMMEX program, the interest / curiosity of Japanese companies towards Mexico is on an increasing trend.

This Webinar is to help our customers to understand the basics of Mexico industrial and trade landscapes, high level customs rules and watch outs and route options for mitigating sea freight risks into North America. The Webinar will be delivered in Japanese by Mr. Masa Tada, Regional Business Development Manager – Americas.
